Sec, Yorkshire Geological Society the books aim is to provide a readable account of the Geology of the North of England, particularly Yorkshire with its diverse geology of rocks and phenomena which attend them and to visualise the conditions which prevailed at the different Geological Epochs. The book was printed by Hollinek Bros; printers of Scientific books Vienna for the authors and whilst the paper stock of the plates is of good quality that of the book block generally is poor resulting in significant browning of the paper which is also somewhat brittle.
