Signed by author William Kennedy and warmly inscribed by him to Greg Gatenby- Canadian writer and founder of the International Festival of Authors in Toronto. From Gatenby's personal collection and with his signature on the front free endpaper. Bump to spine extremities. Tape residue on front endpapers. Surface wear and crease to dust jacket in protective mylar jacket. American writer and journalist William Kennedy (1928-) won the Pulitzer Prize in 1984 for 'Ironweed'. 'The Ink Truck' was his first novel. A nice signed first edition copy.

The author's literary debut. There is a small puncture mark near the bottom of the front board that stops this copy from being fine (duh!), and the otherwise fine dw has a closed but obvious tear across the top of the front flap, though no pieces are missing. That being said, the book presents well, and the dw is solid, showing none of the rubbing or loss of color that it is prone to. SIGNED by Kennedy on the title page.
