FIRST EDITION 1811. 4to, approximately 310 x 240 mm, 12 x 9½ inches, 30 fine hand coloured plates, in line stipple and aquatint, engraved and coloured by William Hooker, 27 after Elisabeth Matthews and 3 after Frances Knight, Plate 1 is the only plate with the artist and engraver printed at lower edge. Pages: title page, [viii], [37] - unnumbered descriptive pages of text, rebound in modern half red morocco, 2 gilt lettered black labels, gilt floral decoration between raised bands, gilt date at foot, marbled boards and endpapers, and cream fly leaves.
