The Folio Society, London 1968. 4 vo., 221 pp. With 24 woodcut illustrations which were first published in Milan, in 1626, in the Compendium Maleficarum compiled by Father Franciscus Maria Guaccius. Only occassionally do they specifically illustrate the text of the Malleus, and are more intended as a complement to it. "We can never sympathize: but this history may help us to understand and perhaps to question, if need arises, our own righteousness." (Final sentence/conclusion in the book) Book is in very good+ condition except some fading to spine. Housed in a grey marbled slipcase.

Black cloth over boards, with stunning, bright, red and silver flame-like decorations to the front and rear covers and bright silver decoration to the spine.
