Notable scuffing and pencil inscription to front endpaper. Mild water stain to fore edge and upper edge of rear pastedown. Boards have light edgewear with corner crushing. Mild sunning to board edges and spine, which has mild crushing to ends. Book has forward lean. Clipped jacket has moderate edgewear with chips, tears, and creasing. Tape to edges on inside. Notable foxing to surfaces. Moderate rubbing and marking all over. Mild sunning to spine.

Autobiography of the great Surrey and England off spinner focusing on his last few turbulent years in Test cricket including the 1958-59 Ashes tour. This was a hugely controversial book at the time and Laker's criticisms of his captain, Peter May, led to him having his MCC and Surrey memberships withdrawn. Book is very good++ with bright boards.
