Green colored cloth binding with black text of author's signature on the upper and black text of book title on spine. Book shows very minor shelf wear; head and tail of spine are mildly scuffed. On the lower top left is a one inch blue ink mark. Pages 9-16 show age staining; all other pages are clean. Binding is tight. The book is a collection of editorial sketches, essays and verse selected from The Oregonian files of several years running. Laid in the back is a newspaper article from the December 19, 1963 Sunday edition of The Oregonian on Ben Hur Lampman..

The dust jacket has 2.5" chip out the top edge of the front panel, smaller chips w/ loss, edgewear and rubbing, unclipped, in a mylar cover. 8vo. 191pp.

Bound in pale gray-green cloth with black lettering stamped on front cover and spine. Beneath the publisher's name on the title page a previous owner wrote, in small numbers, "1942". Price-clipped dust jacket with two small tape shadows on front flap, and shallow chips. Near Fine in a Very Good dust jacket. Lampman (1886 - 1954) was a versatile writer known best for his column at the Oregonian, where he was hired in 1916. Dust jacket is now preserved in a clear, removable archival sleeve.
