Prior seller's information pasted at inside front cover, which has resulted in faint glue transfer and a slightly brighter square at corresponding part of front cover. Wraps show very light scuffing, edgewear, and toning; something at top of front cover has been marked out in black pen. Staplebound; staples secure, and free of rust. Interior clean, text unmarked. If anyone dare accuse Mrs Beeton of using excessive amounts of ingredients, try Kentucky Burgoo - 600 pounds of lean soup meat, 200 pounds fat hens, 2000 pounds of potatoes, 200 pounds of onions - need we go on!, the best is yet to come, Use squirrels in season... one dozen squirrels to each 100 gallons..

This is a 48 page pamphlet covered by two saddle-stitched boards serving as dust jackets, with the front board illustrated. There is no publication date. Only a 1939 copyright, which we assume corresponds to the publication date. Interesting recipes and very nice small illustrations by Kellum throughout the book.Pages, pamphlet covers, and wooden covers are all in excellent condition. The only fault we could fine is that the upper ribbon tie (the ties seem to be original with the book) is frayed and probably needs to be replaced.
