A couple of small mild marks on text block edges. Internally neat, clean, bright and tight. In its original dust jacket, bumped along upper edge, gently rubbed and rounded at corners and spine ends, a tad sun-faded over spine, mild stain on verso. Thomas Mann's writings in this volume include this three most famous long-short stories: Tonio Kruger, Death in Venice and Mario and the Magician, as well as episodes from The Magic Mountain, Joseph and his Brethren etc. With an introduction by E F Bozman.

Hardback. Everyman's Library. UK. 1940. 'Stories and Episodes' by Thomas Mann. This book is a Small format hardback with dj. Red dj is bright with the Eric Ravilious design to the front. Contains the novella 'Death in Venice'. There is a short closed tear to front lower tip and at spine. No loss. Otherwise this is a solid, unfaded dj with a very good spine showing titles clearly. Contents: clean and unmarked. This volume is rare in that laid in is the original 'Everyman' yellow fold around strap, giving the contents of the book. A solid item for the Everyman Library and shows very well on the shelf. Not exlib and packed and sent with care.
