Tanning is seen on the edges, paste-downs and front end pages. Small black ink stains on the inside of the covers and the end pages. The interior pages are clean and unmarked. Includes "Translations of Chapter-Head Mottoes" by J. Hammond Trumbull at end of each volume (helps describe the text in specific chapters). Condition of bindings: Lightly age darken, scattered stains; some shelf wear (mostly at backstrips/spine). Interior: Text clear and readable, illustrations vivid. Overall: Very Good condition. Books kept in a temperature-controlled room; there are no smoke smells from cigarettes or cigars. This story was a collaboration between Mark Twain and his neighbor, Charles Dudley Warner, a satire financial and political malfeasance that gave a name to the expensive post-Civil War era.… Leer más
