Pages are moderately tanned and foxed throughout, heavier at end-papers, paste-downs and text-block edges. Hinges are cracked with exposed netting. Some occasional mild cracking to gutters throughout, binding remains reasonably firm. Boards have moderate edge-wear with bumping to corners and rubbing to surfaces. Mild crushing to spine ends. Book has a slight forward lean. Boards are heavily stained.

Exterior has some very light scuffing and a few smudge marks, corners are are lightly bumped. The internal binding is good and text pages are tight. No hinge issues, no signatures or bookplates, no library markings, no handwriting, nothing torn or loose. The batch number that you see printed on the last end page is from the publisher run and should be able to be easily erased, if desired. The copyright page states fourth printing of January 1931, which is the same month and year as the first printing.
