He worked for the Chicago Tribune and the Paris Herald, as well as the experimental literary journal 'transition'. He was a close friend to both James Joyce and Gertrude Stein. Collated, complete. In the original cloth binding, in the price-clipped dust wrapper. Externally, excellent, with no noticeable faults other than a bit o fading to top edge of boards.
