Folio tan quarter buckram with dark blue Morocco boards, gilt lettering. Profusely illustrated with black and white photographs of Buddhist monstaries, monks and ceremonial artifacts. There are numerous diagrams, drawings, plates and plans, 4 of which are large, fold-out and housed in a rear pocket. Good book. There is a 10.5" vertical scratch where the buckram and leather meet on the front board. There are a couple of light scrapes to the rear board and some fraying to the upper rear corner. The textblock edges are lightly foxed. There is a bookplate to the front pastedown. (buddhist temples, monasticism, religious orders, china) Inquire if you need further information.
