Very proper for these times, when men are butting, and pushing, and goring, and horning one another. Also an appendix concerning women and jealousie. FIRST EDITION 1661, small 8vo, approximately 165 x 100 mm, 6½ x 4 inches, LACKING FRONTISPIECE, SUPPLIED IN MODERN FACSIMILE, plus a blank leaf at beginning and end, and the leaf following the title page (Dedication?), pages: [12], 1-84, followed by imprimatur leaf, catchword on *7v is a printer's error, pagination irregular but text collated and guaranteed complete, bound in modern full calf, blind ruled border and decorative panelling to covers, raised bands and blind rules to spine, gilt lettered red morocco label, new endpapers. 2 lines written in Latin on colophon page, occasional minor mark to text or margins.
