Assumed early 1900s reprint of collection of Ruskin's lectures of social and economic interpretations of war, labor, and England's economic future. Pages lightly browned from age but not brittle. Light extremity wear to binding with 2 small pulls to rear board edge. Red cloth with silhouette of woman's head and green and black decoration. Gilt spine titling.

Front hinge partially cracked, but still strong. Corners and spine ends bumped and rubbed, with some fraying at tips and spine ends. A one-quarter-inch square piece is missing from the head of the spine. Covers have moderate edge wear and surface rubbing. Spine leans a little. Name in ink on blank page after front free endpaper, dated 1899. A few pages have a small brown spot in the margin. Small faint number in blue ink at bottom of last page.
