Black pebble-grain cloth over boards with blind-stamped decorative border on each board and embossed publisher's emblem on front board. Publisher's advertisements on front and back endpapers and on one leaf preceding title page. Final 2 pages contain 3-part harmony for Never Say Fail by Glaser and I Love the West by C. W. Sanders. Names of former owners on front free endpaper, blank page preceding title page, and blank page following text: Gertie Hertz, John Fry, and Katie Frey, Montello, Pa. Scarce. Corners are bumped, and 3 of the 4 are exposing the boards. P/O name library written from 1862 that is embellished.
