In very good dark green bevel edged cloth boards, with blind stamped ruled and decorative edges on all sides, gilt circle to front with gilt male head; gilt titles to back strip. The covers are very clean, bright, tight and straight. The end papers are foxed around the edges and lightly tanned; name and address sticker to front paste down (crossed out) and name and address in ink on front free end paper. Slightly age-toned cut edges; tinted brown top edge. The text block is in very good condition, tightly bound and clean except for the prelims which are foxed and lightly tanned. With many b/w illustrations and with attractive head pieces. Thought to be issued without dust jacket. Part of colllectable collection.
