Moderate foxing and tanning to pages with heavier foxing and tanning to pastedowns and endpapers. Pencil inscriptions to front pastedown and visible foxing and tanning to text block edges. Boards have visible bleach spotting and rubbing with minor bumping to corners. Fair crushing to spine ends and heavier rubbing to spine.

Front free endpaper appears to have been removed. Pages and plates are lightly tanned and foxed throughout. Scuffed loss to front hinge. Faint brown marking to a few pages, text is not affected. Binding is slightly shaky. Boards have moderate edge wear with bumping to corners and rubbing to surfaces. Soft crushing to spine ends. Notable sunning to spine and edges. Notable foxing to spine and front board, with some dark stained marking to spine.

The front seal reads "Timaru High School Board", and it is the first Australian Edition. Timaru is in New Zealand.
