A rare copy of this little book. Colored frontispiece and about 10 B & W plates. Not dated but gift inscription is dated 1917. The pages are clean and the binding is still solid. There are 64 pages.

Undated but COPAC gives date of 1869. Thirteen b/w engravings including frontispiece. Beige paper covered boards with colour illustration to front, publishers advert to back and blue cloth spine. Binding tight. Some rubbing to paper at edges and corners, loss of paper to front top outer corner. Endpapers possibly renewed. Scattered foxing throughout, heavier towards the back. Not ex-library. Nice original owners name and dated 1837 to head of title-page.. seventeenth edition. Hardback. V.g.. 12mo.

Old re-stitching along spine, lacking bottom third of rear wrap, wrappers worn and nicked, a good copy.
