The cloth is heavily worn and frayed at the head and heel of the spine and worn through at the lower edge of the front and rear boards. There is a prior owner's name on the front paste down. Without its issued dust jacket. This is Eric Sloane's first book which is quite scarce. 74 pages of text and illustrations followed by two un-numbered pages.

Dust jacket ini two pieces, split at center with spine missing, now in mylar cover so that the jackets can be used. Blue cloth boads with some wear and scuffing, darkening at edges. Interior quite clean.
