Boards have mild rubbing and visible bumping to corners. Fair crushing to spine ends and moderate tanning to spine as well.

Gilt top foredges. Previous owner's bookplate on front fixed endpaper of each volume. Small mark to the spine of volume II. Spotting to the edges of a few pages of volume IV. Crease across the center of the first few pages of volume 1, also effecting the frontispiece. Reprinted from the fourth edition.
