The leather spine has some c racks and chips including a 4cm chip to the head of the spine. Part of the black spine label is also chipped, leaving only the "END" of the title The Friend. The articles run the gambit from abolition of slavery, railway an d steamboat traveling to bee cultivation. Also numerous deaths and mar riages are listed. A solid copy of an important Quaker publication. .
