These pieces have been acquired by purchase from antiquity dealers throughout the periods of curatorship of the late Professor Clay, the late Dr. Grice, the late Professor Dougherty, and (since 1933) the writer. Part of the hitherto unpublished acquisitions are new texts, and part are duplicates of already published texts, with more or less variation from the published readings.
