William Mackenzie, 1111. Hardcover. Acceptable. No Edition Remarks. 240 pages. No dust jacket. Brown cloth boards with gilt lettering and patterns. Pictorial black and white frontispiece and plates throughout. Textblock edges dyed gold. Slight crinkling to hinges and gutters however binding remains firm. Pages and plates are moderately tanned with noticeable foxing. Pencil marks to front pastedown. Boards have moderate edge-wear with bumping to corners and rubbing to surfaces. Moderate crushing and splits to spine ends. Gilt lettering is bright and clear.

Cover has some loss of colour due to some spots of damp stain. some light Brown stain to the top corner margins of Frontispiece & Title Page (not affecting the picture.) Red cloth boards, first part of book is 368 pages, followed then by 128 pages of the Life of Major General Gordon, Including the Events of the Soudan Campaign of 1885. No publication year printed in book. This volume covers 1836-1858, plus the later portion of General Gordon, which goes through at least 1885. Bit of a stain on outside of spine area.. Hardcover.
