Hardcover no dust jacket. Nicely rebound in quarter calf over marbled boards in near fine condition. Inside the odd bit of foxing, a few old water stains and a little chipping to a few page edges, otherwise in very good condition

Chambers Hallam, Hillingdon, Middlesex, 1954" & signed "Samuel Taylor" on the free fly, as is (gar). ~ Westwood and Satchell p205 206. "I presume to think I have reduced Angling to a complete science" (dedication). Samuel Taylor (1749 1811) is best remembered as a prominent London stenographer who devised a popular system of shorthand, the manual of which went through many editions and languages.
