Portrait frontispiece. Just a touch of soiling to top edge and two small indentations to the head of the rear board. A very good copy in non-price-clipped dust wrapper, just a little rubbed and edge worn and marred by some spotting to the wrapper flaps and internally, and with some discolouration, alas a common fault with this production. A collection of over 1,000 Thomas' letters, many from 'Selected Letters' (1966) here re-edited and including previously omitted passages, and many, many more hitherto unprinted..
