Leipzig: Bernhard Tauchnitz, 1867. This is a Very Good (Minus) copy of the Copyright Edition. Three volumes bound as one, in a small, squat format. First Edition Thus, published in the same year as the English version. Marbled paper-covered boards with leather spine and tips; the spine has seven rules and the titling in gilt. Clean text; 406 pages, 407 pages, and 384 pages. Small American book-binder label on the front paste-down. The text is supple and unfoxed, but there is a single, tiny worm-hole that penetrates about one-quarter of the textblock, starting in the rear. This does not particularly affect reading, but it is most certainly a defect. Corners and fore-edges of the cover are rubbed. Size: 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall. First Thus.. Three-Quarter Leather. Very Good Minus/No Jacket.

A nice set of Trollope's series of novels set in the fictional county of Barsetshire (supposedly based on Somerset), often considered his finest work. On Page 157 of Volume I the final "D" of the running headline is perfect (it appears broken in the second edition), and in Volume 2, p. 298 line 21, third word is "Crawley" (which was changed to "Toogood" in the second edition).
