Noticeable marking to some pages throughout; text is not obscured. Binding is firm. Previous owner's inscription and stamp to first page. Paper covers have minimal edgewear, with minor curling to corners. Spine is moderately tanned, with noticeable creasing, and slight scuffing and tearing to ends. Visible marks overall.

Small 8vo (17cm). pp. 75, 84, 98, 86. Very Good/No jacket, as issued. Light edge and corner wear, caps chipped, light overall page toning. Small bookseller ticket: Heinrich Jaffe, Munchen. Wagner spent over 20 years on the libretto and music to be performed in four nights for a total of about 15 hours. First full performance in 1876 at the Bayreuth Festival continues to this day..
