Many black and white illustrations which seek to demonstrate the theories being put forth. Slightest indication of chipping to the corners of the boards, however, remains a very attractive and presentable copy. Overall, very good+ to near fine. Very controversial, scarce.

Small signature and ink stamp of the noted American psychologist Henry Guze (founder of the American Academy of Psychotherapists, the Society for Clinical and Experimental Hypnosis, and co-founder of the Society for the Scientific Study of Sex), on front fly leaf. Heavy rubbing to the joints and edges of the boards, else good or better with toning and light dampstain to the gutter at bottom of text block. A scarce copy of the first edition.
