The publisher of this first edition with front board matching the photo is Hubbard Brothers Publishers--the copyright notice is in its name, 1888. It should also be noted that the author of the "Life of Hon. Levi P. Morton" is not Lew Wallace but George Alfred Townsend. 578 p., clean and unmarked anywhere on tan but not brittle paper; boards, floral end pages, show damp staining yet pages within are fine with absolutely no evidence of moisture or rippling. That includes the frontis. engraved portrait of Harrison, with tissue guard. Binding birm, but volume somewhat bowed from poor storage, corners bumped, some rubbing at crown and foot of spine.

Gray cloth with ornate embossed flower design on front and spine, gilt lettering on front very good, just good on spine, light wear to bottom tips, thin chip at center of spine top edge with tiny white spot below, very slight wear at spine bottom edge and just above, several tiny brown spots along top back edge and long book edge faded, decorated inside covers and adjacent end papers, 378 lightly browned pages, illustrations throughout. Near Very Good.

Gray boards with black and gold decorations. Cover is soiled, corners bumped, top edge dusted. Interior is tight and clean, some pages slightly foxed.

Spine ends are a bit softened. Decorative endpapers. Frontispiece and tissue intact, mildly foxed. Name and date on title page. Pages are clean and unmarked with slight foxing on first few pages, Copious illustrations. Binding is tight. Hinges are perfect. Very nice copy.
