Bookplate signed by the author laid in. Novel set on the Amalfi coast.

Front hinge just starting but firm. Equally attractive unclipped dust-jacket, ($5.95), has some Moderate wear to spine ends, folds and tips but still bright and fresh with no chipping, creases or tears. Signed by the author on the title page. A very pretty collectable copy at a great price.

Dustjacket slightly worn and rubbed along edges, and spine head and tail. A lovely copy of the author's third novel, before Nat Turner and Sophie's Choice. A wonderful copy.

Very attractive unclipped true first issue, and quite scarce, "trial" dust-jacket, ($5.95), has some toning and mild soiling but is bright with no chipping, creases, or tears. The exact number of copies issued with this dust-jacket is unclear but it is certainly a very small number indeed. Signed by the author on the title page. Laid in is a ticket stub for the event where the books was signed, at the CopperUnion Great Hall in New York in 2001. A very pretty collectable copy at a great price.
