Clean text; 477 pages. Frontis illustration and four others within [one is in colour; others black and white]. The paste downs are illustrated, featuring a unicorn. Mildly rubbed at the margins; spine has faded to a sort of golden tan, rendering the gilt titling readable but less prominent than desired. Lacking a dustjacket; in an archival plastic protector.. Tiny nicks to cloth joints, inside paper joints started, dust-wrapper a shade toned to spine else fine. An attractive copy. Yeats was a poet whose autobiography depicts his childhood, of being an Irishman growing up in England and the racially motivated bullying and hostility he faced, in a poetic style. Yeats was the first Irishman to be awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1923, and served as an Irish Senator for two years.
