Wise was a pioneer in the field of ballooning making over 400 flights during his lifetime and was responsible for several innovations in balloon design. 650 pages with numerous full-page woodcut engravings of balloons in flight and of balloon types. Bound in light blue cloth with lettering and illustration in gilt. A fine and bright copy.

A very good plus, handsome copy.
