Pages are tight but book will lay open. Pages clean, unmarked with browning. 1196 pages. A few darker spots on pages due to PO using book to dry leaves (I only found 2 leaves in the book). No other marks in book, binding tight. End papers show some foxing and light moisture staining. Covers show some rubbing and edge wear, 1/4" tear top rear joint. Hinges are strong. Extremely ornate, dark red leather covered boards with the carved design of a communion goblet on the front and back. Gilt lettering and designs on front, back, and spine. Binding is very damaged. Outer leather casing is only attached on the bottom and leaves the pages fully exposed. Front cover and flyleaf are detached. There are many pages throughout that are detached. Contains over 850 intricate illustrations in b/w and color. Very damaged, but extremely fascinating artifact. Written in what is most likely Danish. Condition POOR. Bible Box
