Gilt and red letters on the spine and red top page edges. FIRST EDITION. There are several pages of illustrations of works. Foreword by Andrew C. Ritchie, Yale University Art Gallery. DJ has tears to one quarter inch with a chip at the top of the spine. 438 pages.

The book is in fair - good condition condition,.There is a tear in the inside binding between Lipchittz' photo and the title page) which has been repaired. There is a similar binding tear tear along the inside rear cover, which has not been repaired. Also some chiping along the top and bottom of the spine where the spine meeting the cover boards. The pages are in excellent conditon, without any faults. Inscription with full signature of the author is on the title page. Dj has wear along the edges, especially along the top edges, which has several small tears as well. Dj was clipped in a semi-circular pattern. Dj covered with a transparent cellophane cover. Seller will upgrade shipping to priority mail to any continental U. S. address.

Lettering is bright. Only a few bumps along the bottom edge. Inside has neat PO signature , in pencil, under the author's ( easily erasable). otherwise crisp, unmarked and minimally toned. DJ has moderate rubbing at edges and joints and moderate chipping at spine top and bottom back. Top edges dyed red..
