Hardcover. xvii, 270, xv, 273-446p., matched pair in Hakluyt's signature format: blue cloth boards gilt & blind and enclosed in their dust jackets. Top edges of both volumes are dusty and foxed, and the second was printed on paperstock not fully alkaline, giving v.2 a pervasive mild browning. Jackets are a bit edgeworn with toned spine panels; these mild signs of age are matched, along with the general design. A good to very good set: quite sound, otherwise clean, and free of deliberate markings. Second series Nos. CXXVI, CXXVII.

Cambridge: Published for the Hakluyt Society by CUP, 1966. Hardcover. xvii, 270, xv, 273-446p., plates on inserted coated stock, maps and lengthy folded lists of encountered islands as called for, hardbound in the Hakluyt design, fine bright copies in their plain printed dust jackets. Djs are in general good shape, both have some tiny punctures and toned spine panels (v.1 has a quarter-inch chip at the head), each volume with crimping to top and tail rims else entirely sound, clean and unmarked. An excellent set. Second series nos. CXXVI and CXXVII.
