International Textbook Company 1899. This volume only, super octavo hardcover (VG); all our specials have minimal description to keep listing them viable. They are at least reading copies, complete and in reasonable condition, but usually secondhand; frequently they are superior examples. Ordering more than one book will reduce your overall postage costs.

Text is unmarked and clean other than some foxing throughout. Binding is worn around the edges with small chips out of the top and bottom spine. A section of the leather on the spine has a closed tear but is attached to one side of the spine. Numerous illustrations, diagrams, and mathematical formulas included. From the Preface, "These volumes have been compiled for those who desire to qualify themselves as Building Contractors. The ability to make and read plans is indispensable to all who wish to advance beyond the ranks of the tradesmen..."

This appears to be a gathering into one volume of four separate books published by the Colliery Engineer Company between 1897 and 1902. Very Good-: Shows mild wear to the extremities; a short tear in the leather at the head of the backstrip; the upper front corner tip shows a small crack in the leather; some scuffing to the upper front panel; some very faint rubbing otherwise; the binding is slightly cocked off square, but remains secure; the text is clean, the pages have tanned ever so slightly in its more-than-a-century of existence. Rubber-stamped "10387" at the bottom of the title page. This may be an Engineering License number, as we have several other books from this series with the same rubber-stamped number.
