Covers rubbed and edge-worn; backstrip lacking sections, with a piece of binder's tape at each end; endpapers edge-browned; previous owners' names ink on front endpapers, and two newspaper clippings attached with straight pin to front free endpaper. Otherwise very good condition, tight and with no significant tears or stains. . 396p.

GB: Longman and Others, 1819. DISBOUND TEXT (No covers). Fairly clean text but a few pages pulling. Some pencil annotation (including salaries of some posts). A good working copy or suitable to rebind. . Good.

Heavier tanning and foxing to other pages. Hinges are heavily cracked with exposed netting. Binding is weakened, with boards attached but very loose. Pencil & pen inscriptions to pastedowns and front free endpaper. Boards have heavy edge-wear with bumping to corners, crushing to spine ends and rub wear all over. Major splits to joints with loss to head and tail of spine.
