Hardcover, green cloth boards with stamped design on front and gilt on spine. Exterior shows some spotting and soiling along with edge and corner bumps/wear. Bottom edge of front board quite a bit of bumping. Internal binding is good, no hinge issues but the front board has a bit of wiggle. Front pastedown contains the original owners name and date in the rear pastedown (and one of the appendix pages) has the date 3/28/1907 written in purple pencil. Pages are toned due to age and there is some scattered foxing and spotting present, with the worst being the front end page and title page (mainly the tissue guard). A large foldout map and the rear the book is present and is in good shape. Please note: this is a large and heavy book so it may require additional postage for non-US sales or priority mail shipping option.

The author's bold signature and inscription are accompanied by at least one author's correction in the text, and this copy is relatively quite presentable despite flaws and library markings; copies with better hinges are scarce, and the interior of this one is crisper and cleaner than average, with covers and gilt lettering also sharp, despite library markings. Economical price more than reflects flaws.
