The prints themselves are in good condition and suitable for framing. Each print is backed with cardboard like sheet. Some are titles: the Last of San Francisco, Kearny Street, Down and Up the Hills to the Bay, Sacramento Street and many more.

First of this scarce edition, with the addition of Edson's poems, tipped in on tissue parchment at each plate. A tipped in parchment panel on the title page reads: "With Twenty-Five Poems by Charles Farwell Edson, Copyright 1916", the Golden Gate Bridge was conceived. Each plate has an adjacent textual description of the scene. Edson's poems are tipped in between the plates and the plate descriptions. The poems appear to have been written to 'illustrate' the famous San Francisco landmark views. Stiff textured wraps over boards, with pastedown illustration on front wrap. Text is split at plate XV and XXI. Spine and self wraps are quite rubbed but whole and clear. No former owner marks. Ships from Dinkytown in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
