Laid in are 3 pages of unsigned mimeographed instructions : "A Tree for New York Planting and Recommendations" describing the proper procedures for various species of trees. First printing, no other's noted. Nils Jönsson-Rose worked and wrote about garden and landscaping around the turn of the 19th-20th century. Jönsson-Rose was appointed landscape gardener for the New York City Parks and Recreation Department in 1898.
