All the material is fine. Also laid in is a foldover announcement for the latest revival of who's afraid of virginia woolf? that was to star laurie metcalf and rupert everett that was waylaid by the pandemic and will not be performed on broadway. Tennessee Williams last successful play that starred Bette Davis, Margaret Leighton and Patrick O'Neal. Later made into a well received film that starred Richard Burton, Ava Gardner and Deborah Kerr. Illustrated with 4 photographs. The nice dustjacket with art by Nicola Wood is in very good condtion with one small chip to the top edge of the spine panel. There are three rubber ownership stamps on the front and back endsheets and the half title page. The book itself is nice and clean. Vg+/vg+

Small newspaper clipping laid in of Kanin's published small piece on Judy Holliday from the New York Times after her untimely death in 1965. . Small spot ot front edge. 1 photo on frontispiece. ALSO LAID IN IS A SMALL INSCRIBED AND SIGNED "WITH THE COMPLIMENTS OF CARD" THE FRONT HAS A SMALL ILLUSTRATION OF A HAND HOLDING A BOQUET OF FLOWERS WITH GARSON KANIN'S NAME PRINTED ON IT. Holliday made a big splash in the play and went on to repeat her role in the film version and won an Oscar.

Later made into a somewhat tepid but entertaining film with Fierstein in the lead. 3 photos. Near fine. Laid in is a nice foldout flyer for "Kinky Boots" that Fierstein wrote the book for.

Cover illustration is the famous cartoon by Peter Arno. The movie version used most of the Broadway cast with the exception of Janis Paige who was replaced by the great Doris Day. The Musical ran for 1063 performances and won Tonys for best musical, Carol Haney and Bob Fosse. Co directed by Jerome Robbins. Near fine.

The program is from early? in the run with critical blubs on the back cover. Also includes a tipped in pg. for bio. pic of John Gavin who replaced Ken Howard. The run was so short that the producers did not do a new souvenir program, and the program is full of Ken Howard. The musical is notable for Tommy Tune who broke through with this role and won a Tony for it. Written Directed and Choreographed by Michael Bennett who also won a Tony. Also featured a 15 year old Giancarlo Esposito. Colorful cover in a hip 70's style. Vg.

The play ran for 229 performances and the program is from later in the run (critical blurbs on back cover) with Julie Harris still in the lead, but after Boris Karloff had left the production. Some minor damp staining to the back cover but the interior of the program is not affected. Also tiny tack hole to the top left side of the program. Vg.

The show also won a Best Musical award again over very little competition. Directed by Bob Fosse. From later in the run, (critical blurbs on back cover) but with the original cast. Near fine.
