The jacket is a little soiled and has small chips at spine ends. The Tulsa author's first book, illustrated by her niece, Pat Loring Biggs. Not many of the self-published first editions survived. The book was published in 1975 by William Morrow in a much larger edition. Inscribed by the author on the title page and dated 12/12/74.

Fine with no dust jacket (as issued). Unnumbered, but 1 of 1500 copies. Dark blue leatherette boards with bright gilt lettering and decorations on spine and front board. Photographic endpapers, many illustrations (most in color); 111 pages. This is two volumes in one: the first volume is a condensation of the original history published in 1977 (first 23 pages) and the remainder is a history of the next 15 years.

Owner's name inside front cover, a little wear and rubbing to the covers. With drawing of statue of Native American on his horse (The Appeal to the Great Spirit) on front cover. 79 pages. One page (21/22) is missing although a portion of the page (with the American Creed) is laid in.

The jacket has a couple of small nicks at the edges of the front panel. Includes many black and white photographs, numerous maps, list of proper names and terms, definitions, and an index; 262 pages. A history of the Sooner state, inscribed by the author to Tulsa author and historian Mildred Ladner on the front endpaper.

Author Published; (1938). First Edition . Hardcover. Very good in blue cloth covered boards with black lettering on the spine and front board. Cloth is worn at tips and spine ends, and the blue color is faded, mainly on the front board and spine. The book has seven photographs, and in this copy all have been removed and attached into a small booklet with a piece of scotch tape. There are also two copies of a photograph of Bob Wills, same size as the photos from the book, which may have been meant to be a frontispiece (the page facing the title page reads: "Portrait of Bob Wills May Either Be Framed Or Pasted Here"). The front hinge is cracked, and the half title page is still attached but loosely so. One the front pastedown in Bob Wills' hand is written "From/Bob Wills/To" then in a different hand is written "Dorothy White". The front endpaper is signed by 17 members of the Texas Playboys (list to follow). A stamp on the title page reads: "Presented on Occasion… Leer más

Tulsa, OK: Tulsa Tribune; (1955). First Edition . Soft cover. Very Good/No Jacket. Very good in stapled wraps, illustrated on front cover with a drawing by Clarence Allen representing a cross section of cultures encountered on the trip. The author was the editor/owner of the Tulsa Tribune, and this 8 1/2" x 11" stapled book is an offprint of the articles published in the newspaper as Jones made his way around the world. Signed by the author, and additionally inscribed by Samuel Boorstin, a local attorney and father of historian Daniel Boorstin.

Tulsa, OK: Author Published; (1958). First Edition . Soft cover. Trade paperback original, very good in original wraps. Slight spine slant, minor creases on front cover. The author started playing jazz trumpet at a young age, and eventually became the pastor of a large Baptist church in Houston. This book was reissued in hardcover in 1995, but this is the original edition. Signed by the author on the blank front endpaper.

Many of the photos from the 1960's & '70's are very early images of well-known major leaguers. This copy is inscribed on the title page by the author.
