The product line included loom pickers & reeds, lug staps, picker leather & sticks and rawhide for mechanical purposes. This 5th catalogue (edition) replaced the 1905 4th edition. Blue cloth with gilt lettering on spine and front. Established in 1866 by James G. Garland, incorporated in 1873 - t was originally called the Loom Picker Company, after its primary product, pickers for the textile industry. Tthe company today manufactures plastic profiles, custom machined parts, and a product line of mallets and soft faced hammers. 153 pages with index and extensive B&W illustrations of product lines. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. Chicago: Chicago General Membership Branch Industrial Workers of the World, Chicago, USA, 1979. Assumed First Edition . Stapled Wraps. Very Good/No DJ Issued. The story of the Swedish-born , American labor organizer, (1879 - 1915) songwriter, cartoonist, satirical poet and member of the Industrial Workers of the World (Wobblies), who was accused of murder, convicted on circumstantial evidence and executed by the state of Utah. Hill was convicted for the 1914 murder of grocers based on the evidence of a same-night gun-shot wound to Hill, which was treated by a local doctor. A 2011 biography by William M. Adler conjectured that Hill was a shooting victim of a Swedish-born rival for the affection of a young woman who was romantically involved with both men. 32 page-pamphlet with text, lyrics & music for 'Workers of the World Awaken'; 'Casey Jones'; & 'The Preacher and the Slave'. Slight edge, corner wear and very slight soiling. Pages clean, tight and unmarked. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.

The Brooklyn-born Stettner travelled between New York & Paris for decades before settling in Paris in 1990. The 'naturalistic' photographer spent most of his 60+-year career documenting landscapes & the lives of the working class in New York and his adopted city of Paris. Stettner reportedly still actively photographs Paris in his late 80's. White card covers with small photograph on face. 100 pages filled with full-page B&W photos. 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall.
