Includes a treasure trove of Alice In Wonderland and Through The Looking Glass material including manuscripts, books along with magazines and photographs taken Carroll. 28 illustrations. A nice job. Attractive. Near fine. Laid in is a nice large 12pg color brochure for a recent exhibition "Alice Live" that was held at the New York Public Library for The Performing Arts in 2015. Illustrated.

Hollywood: Columbia Pictures, 1962. First Edition . Oversize Paper. 40pg. original souvenir program from the roadshow engagement of the big Oscar winner of 1962 that has easily stood the test of time. Directed by David Lean and starring Peter OToole, Omar Sharif, Alec Guinness, Anthony Quinn, Jose Ferrer, Claude Rains, and Jack Hawkins. This was Peter O'Toole and Omar Sharif's breakthrough film both of whom were nominated for Oscars. The program is illustrated with color photos including several fold-outs and 2 die-cut pages. The program has art direction by Henry Wolf. A nostagic ticket stub from its road show engagement ($3.00) is glued to the top of the inside cover which has left a small shadow on the title pg. Very light soiling to the white covers. Vg+

London: Faber & Faber, 1998. First Printing . Paper. Uncommon screenplay for Butterworth's film that was based on his play. Harold Pinter had a major starring role in the film about low lives involved in the music business of 1958 London. Well illustrated. Also includes Butterworth's diary on the making of the film. As far as I know the film remains unreleased in this country. Fine.

The extensive text is complimented by 202 photos including 77 in color. Fine/fine. Also included is a paper copy of "The Wandering Company, 21 Years Of Merchant Ivory Films" By John Pym, with Comments by James Ivory. Published by the British Film Institute. London in 1983. This is the 1st book on the films of James Ivory & his two frequent collaborators, Ismail Merchant & Ruth Prawer Jhabvala. Nicely designed & illus. w. 129 b&w stills. Fine. Sold as a collection only.

This one is on Alfred Hitchcock's 1929 British film that was released as a silent and early all talkie film. Both version are discussed along with's lots of info. on the making of the film. Also laid in is a small postcard for a 2005 Off-Off Broadway production of "The Birthday Party" and "The Homecoming

Nice pictorial on the Hollywood and British film year of 1954 with lots of articles including one supposedly written by Ronald Reagan. Also many nice full pg. color portraits of Kay Kendall, Doris Day, Marilyn Monroe, and many others + picture articles on films including A Star Is Born, The Caine Mutiny, Seven Brides For Seven Brothers and many others. A fine copy lacking its dustjacket.

Illustrated with 193 b&w and some color poster repros. along with 3 foldouts. The white covers have yellowed otherwise the book is fine.

United Kingdom: Channel 4 Book, 1999. First Edition . Paper. Scarce collection of eight scripts for the original British series Queer As Folk that was later adapted for the popular American series. Includes an intro. by the author along with unseen material and 8pgs. of color photos. Very faint, almost not noticeable corner crease to the bottom of the front cover, light browning to the cheap paper used. Fine.

New York: Sylvan Press, 1954. First Edition . Cloth with Dustjacket. Early book on animation focuses on the making of the first feature length British animated film "Animal Farm" which was created by the important animation team of Halas and Batchelor. Illustrated with b&w drawings, sketches and photos. A few small pieces missing from the spine panel of the dustjacket and a tiny touch of shelf wear to the bottom edge of the cloth, otherwise a nice clean copy.

London: Ambit, 1977. 71 1977 . Paper with Dustjacket. British literary magazine that is notable for an early published appearance by the popular artist/satirist who is mostly known for his many collaborations with Hunter Thompson. Steadman has contributed a very funny portfolio of 7 b&w "penis" drawings and one has been used for the cover and is printed in orange. A must have for Steadman completest. Also included in the issue are pieces by J.G. Ballard and many other British writers and artists who are unknown to me. Very minute light soiling to the white dj. Fine. Also lncluded is a nice full color 28pg. booklet from the dvd release of "Fear and Lothing In Las Vegas" which has many drawings and illustrations by Steadman.

His films (and he made quite a few in the 30's and 40's) were mostly about society's down and outs and the British working class. Includes excepts from his unpublished memoirs and the shooting script for his film "A Real Bloke." Illustrated with many photos and detailed filmog. Published in conj. with a retrospective of his films. LAID IN IS A HANDWRITTEN 1PG. LETTER FROM THE AUTHOR GEOFF BROWN TO THE FORMER OWNER OF THE BOOK IN WHICH HE SAYS THAT ONLY 500 COPIES WERE PUBLISHED. ALSO LAID IN IS A FOLDED FLYER FOR THE RETROSPECTIVE. Uncommon. Fine.

Illus. with drawings both in b&w & color + many b&w stills. 1st copy I've seen in 6 years. Fine.

Illustrated with 63 photos, sketches and drawings of sets by a wide range of designers including the author. The nice illustrated bds. have light wear, some shelve wear to the edges and a small scrape across the word "For", the insides are fine. Small owner signature on front endsheet.
