"Given under the Auspices and for the Benefit of The Choir At Centenary M. E. Church Friday Evening March 20". Likely the Centenary M. E. Church in downtown New Albany, Indiana, located across the river from Louisville where the broadside was printed. Leroy, Marion County, Florida : Co-operative Land and Improvement Company SCARCE 8 page promotional newspaper, illustrated. Very Good, light soiling, small tears at fold edges. No date circa 1888-1891, the only copy located at WorldCat at the University of Virginia gives a date of 1888, and last date found in articles in the paper is 1887. However the article on subscribing to the Leroy (Florida) News notes that it started publishing April 15, and Library of Congress shows that the paper was only published in 1891. Adding to the credibility of an 1891 date, the UVA copy notes a map illustration, and the illustrations in this copy are all of buildings. "The former town of Leroy seems to have a checkered past.
