A browned newspaper cutting regarding the Hancox family is loosely inserted as are a few modern cuttings. In the original cloth binding, faded and worn. The rear edge of the spine is torn all the way down. The binding is coming loose and the sections are splitting internally. Some light browning and occasional spotting to the pages..

Bound in the original green printed cloth, worn and faded.Bookplate of John Thomas Evans, Rector of Stow on the Wold, to the front pastedown. A few cuttings and notes loosely inserted. The book has been mutilated, presumably by the Rector, several sections and images have been cut out towards the rear and they are pasted onto a sheet of paper, they refer to St Edward's Hall, loosely iserted is a small flyer advertising a meeting in 1925 chaired by Evans on the future of the hall, so presumably cut out for notes for that meeting. When cutting them out, he also went through several pages on either side. Mutilated, but interesting..
