Any epicure would be impressed by the menu at this trade association meeting. Wear and some paper loss to spine.

In the worlds of cooking and television, Emeril brought cooking to the American home like none other. His passion for food and for life infected a generation and alongside Bobby Flay put The Food Network on the map. Emeril ranks up there with Julia Child and Justin Wilson in my book!

Excellent copy of the 1913 revised edition (from the 1904 original) housed in the original DJ. Stated "Revised, with Additions" on the title-page. Original decorated green cloth binding clean and sharp. Splendid 24 page advertisement section at rear. Rubbing to gilt lettering on spine from DJ. Scarce original DJ worn at edges and folds with some minor paper loss to crown and foot of spine as well as corners. PO name on FFEP. A very attractive copy overall.

First and only issue of this guide for using evaporated milk aimed at Girl Scouts. Dozens of recipes throughout. OCLC locates only "2" copies. Slight wear to edges and some pulling to original staple binding.

Columbus, OH: Columbus and Southern Ohio Electric Co, 1955. First Edition. Original wraps. Very Good. 6 1/8 X 9 Inches. 40 PP. Original 1950's cook book introducing girls to the new and interesting ways to cook with electricity! Book introduces "Trudy Tenderfoot" who would later be featured in the "Trudy Tenderfoot Meets Reddy Kilowatt" from the Ohio Edison Company. An interesting Girl Scout related piece that was obviously intended to bolster the use of electricity amongst young cooks (lifelong customers) as well as give tips on kitchen planning for the future home, setting the table and rules for the hostess. Original spiral binding a bit loose at top inch or so. PO name on front cover as shown. OCLC locates "0" copies. We can find no auction records for this one.

First printing with full number line to the "1" on the copyright page. Testimonials from the likes of Anthony Bourdain and Mario Batali adorn the rear DJ panel. Brock is the notable, James Beard award-winning chef and co-owner of HUSK in Charleston and Nashville. On a personal note, his fried chicken (recipe in this book) is quite frankly the best food I've ever eaten of any kind and at any time in my life... Light wear to DJ edges at the folds. This is a large and heavy book and may require additional shipping charges for any order outside the continental United States.

Looks like the pen that was used by Beard was low on ink (causing a bit of variation in the inscription darkness). Light toning to endpapers as seems to be typical with this book. DJ a bit worn at spine ends, edges and folds. A very attractive copy of one of Beard's scarcest books. Beard was a noted American chef, cookbook author and the man who pioneered cooking television shows in the 1940's.

Libby's Milk et al.. First Edition. Original wraps. Very Good. Lot of 36 original vintage food product brochures from the 30's and 40's. These little advertising gems might be small, but they pack a punch! Early ads and recipes using Libby's Milk, Knox Gelatine, Kraft Mayo, Brer Rabbit Molasses, Troco Nut Butter, Philadelphia Cream Cheese, Rumford Baking Powder and several more. Each one of these ephemeral beauties is like a little time capsule... The Rumford Baking Powder brochure for is aimed at sugarless recipes for when your sugar ration runs out! Each advertising brochure 100% complete.

Early promotional booklet that contains tips on cooking as well as merit badge requirements. Contents include several recipes as well as a sample "camp" menu for the week. Kellogg's cereal (Corn Flakes, Rice Krispies, PEP, etc) ad on final page. Hint of wear to edges and spine. Light stain to bottom edge of front panel.

A wonderful oversized cookbook filled with numerous recipes dating from the 1400's to the 1700's and Rudkin's modern take on them. Light wear to DJ edges with some minor rubbing and paper loss at folds and edges.

From Dixie Cake to Dixie Bread to Dumplings, a Southern recipe collection surprisingly dotted with International influences. Might be the first Southern cooking guide from the early 20th Century I've paid attention to that offered takes on curried chicken as well as Beef and Kidney Pie.

Signed and inscribed by the "Justin Wilson of North Carolina" directly on the FFEP. For nearly half a century John Parris documented the mountain way of life through his "Roaming the Mountains" column in the Asheville Citizen-Times. His work helped preserve countless stories, folktales and recipes that would have been lost to time. Mountain Cooking is half cookbook and half classic Appalachian story-telling. Original price of $8.95 intact on front flap. An often overlooked classic that obviously influenced chef Jamie Oliver... Written by Penelope Ashe (AKA Billie Young) of "Naked Came the Stranger" fame. For those who forget, "Naked Came the Stranger" was the trashy 1969 novel pieced together from 24 submissions by Newsday columnist Mike McGrady. McGrady set out to publish a book that was intentionally horrible, but filled with lots of sex. His intention was to prove that American readership no longer recognized good writing and just cared about folks getting naked. He was right... The book (a hoax) was published and became a 1969 bestseller. Penelope Ashe (Billie Young) was represented as the author for meetings with publishers etc... "The Food Emperor of the Middle Kingdom." - Kitchen Rebel<br /> <br /> First printing of Michelin starred chef Andre Chiang's influential cookbook that proves he is the king of plating perfection in my opinion. Chiang is known as the former head chef at Le Jardin des Sens as well as for his own Restaurant Andre and RAW. His restaurants have consistently ranked amond the world's top 50 for years. Some may know him from his recent Netflix documentary which delves into the "octaphilosophy" described here. A splendid copy with the original sales prospectus laid-in.
