Three volumes bound in contemporary mottled calf, backs gilt, the book plates of Henry Drummond, Albury Park, Surrey front paste downs. Henry Drummond (1786-1860) was an English author, banker and politician best known as a founder of the Catholic Apostolic Church, also known as the Irvingian Church. The set Very Good Plus, light rubbing at edges and corners, toning at end pages only, interiors quite clean and bright. Possibly David Goodwin (c.1744-1825), who served as a militia officer during the Revolutionary War, later represented Charlestown in the Massachusetts legislature, and he was a founding member of the Massachusetts Bible Society.
