An ex-library copy in orange cloth with gilt and red foil to type on spine. Top front and bottom rear corner dinged and a few smudges to cloth. Some patches to tops and bottoms of pastedown with llight paper scarring due to jacket protector once being glued down. Bookstore sticker, rental fee ""This book 15c a day"" written in and about a dozen due dates(all from 1974, the year of publication) stamped to front free endpaper. Rfep creased. Jacket is unclipped ($6.95) and glossy with some patchy fading, but no wear, tears or chips.

Some moisture staining to top page ends and spotting to front page ends which affect some pages. Some marks/small stains to a few pages as well. Corners sharp and binding solid. . Jacket is unclippedwith chipping to three corners and bottoms of flaps and split to bottom of rear flap crease. Some moisture stains to top inside of spine and bottom of front panel adjacent and including bottom of front flap crease. Scuffing, edgewear and dent/puncture to rear panel.

Bottom corners dinged and some pale foxing to page ends with some spots at bottom and to first and last several pages. Otherwise clean with solid binding. Jacket is unclipped (3.00 pounds) with 1/2 inch puncture to front panel near spine, light wear/nicks to spine ends and top of front flap and pale foxing to flaps. Very faint fading to spine that is barely perceptible.

Bottom corners dinged, some light foxing to page ends and endpapers and moisture stain to bottom of rear free endpaper. Spot to half-title page. Jacket is brittle to top edge with numerous small chips and short tears. A few of the latter to bottom edges as well with some small moisture stains to spine and rippling to bottom of rear panel.

Early reprint in a smaller format and part of the Murray Hill Library from the 1920's. Light edgewear, mostly to spine ends and some tiny spots of loss to gilt on spine. Light tanning to endpapers. Jacket has 1 inch square piece missing to top of spine and has had tape repairs on inside of jacket to long split on spine at crease with front panel and corners. Some chipping to top edge of jacket, bottom of spine and corners with one small chip missing to middle of jacket spine and one to rear crease. Otherwise, a few short closed tears to jacket edges and another vertical split to spine crease at rear panel that has not been repaired with associated horizontal splits across spine.Scarce with jacket.
