Ephemeral card-stock informational brochure (folds out to three panels printed verso and recto) presenting amenities and grounds information regarding the Colonial Williamsburg Motor House Motel. Measures 7 1/2 x 4 1/4 inches folded closed. No printing date stated but circa mid-1960s.

Publisher's color-illustrated card-stock wrappers, octavo, pp. xi, 110. Mild shelf and handling wear. Pages toned slightly over the decades.

Third edition, publisher's illustrated card stock wrappers, octavo, pp. xii, 379. Several maps. Front cover faded mildly by sun. Light shelf wear.

Publisher's textured green card-stock wrappers, octavo, pp. 146. We've graded this copy POOR because the publisher's binding glue has dried out completely over the decades and the leaves are beginning to pull away from the binding (see our photo number 4). Additionally, spine is worn and eroding at crown and at foot. A tear at the foot has been mended with a piece of tape. Previous owner has made several marginal notations.

First edition, so stated, octavo, pp. viii, 248. A color snapshot of an African-American woman, circa 1970s, is laid in to the book. The snapshot seems to be of the author, but we can't say with certainty, as the only picture of the author in the book for comparison is a profile, and the snapshot is straightforward, but see our image. Also, PLEASE NOTE that there are splashes of what appear to be coffee or tea on the fore-edge of the book. Please see our image for an attempt at a close-up. The splashes do not appear in the interior margins but are confined to the edge. Dust jacket has light shelf wear at spine ends and edges. Jacket now protected in a sheet of removable Brodart.

Publisher's original gray cloth with silver spine lettering, 12mo (7 1/2 x 5 inches), pp. 64. Black and white illustrations throughout. GOOD with some shelf wear at spine ends and board tips. Some mild discoloring of the cloth. There is no dust jacket.

Publisher's original stapled wrappers, octavo, pp. 28 + [1]. Black and white diagrams. The wrappers are a frail, fragile affair in POOR condition. Bottom edge of front wrap has all but perished across the century. Some loss at bottom corner of rear wrap, as well. Interior has fared a bit better and is clean and unmarked, condition about GOOD. Scholars and collectors of this type of material will be aware that the paper is delicate and can crumble almost at the touch. We have placed the item in a clear protective display sleeve with white card-stock backing board and recommend keeping it there, "safely stowed," as Hamlet might say.

Publisher's light gray cloth over black boards with silver spine and upper board lettering, octavo, pp. x, 165 plus colophon. This title issued without a dust jacket.

Edition limited to 500 copies, octavo, pp. 29. Note that this is a Reading Copy only with old tidelines (dry, odorless, no text affected).

Seventh edition revised, publisher's black flex binding with red ruling and gilt lettering, 12mo, pp. 217 plus List of Venetian Architect-Sculptors plus Ads for hotels and tourism-related shops and services, pp. 1-11 + [1]. Illustrations. Affectionate note to previous owner from a traveling companion, commemorating "a day in Venice 11th Dec 1918." FAIR condition only. Front hinge is cracking. Old staple holes at the four corners of the black free front endpaper. Please note also that among the List of Illustrations in the Table of Contents, a "Plan of Canals" and a "Plan of S. Marco" are called for. The San Marco illustration is present but the Plan of Canals is NOT present.

Second edition, publisher's glossy card stock wrappers, octavo, pp. xii, 81 plus author colophon and ad. Illustrations.

Publisher's illustrated card-stock wrappers, octavo, pp. 287 + [1]. A few black and white illustrations. A short horizontal tear on pp. 161/162 crimps one word on each side of the leaf (see image for our best attempt at a close-up), otherwise Very Good. Note that this was not a high-budget publication, and our opinion is that even though the leaves are bound snugly and securely at present, repeated wide or hasty rough opening of the book might gradually cause them to loosen from the binding. Best handled with care.
